The Heart is the Center
For Spring / Summer 2016 designer Francesca Liberatore explores the human heart. Liberatore takes a bold and honest look at the true nature of the heart and all of its facets. She turns away from the delusional concept of pure romance and looks at each individual heart and its capacity to express all of itself including obsession, hate, possession, love, desire, domination, devotion and more.
Opposition and line dominate throughout the collection; silk chiffons and tulle provide fluidity while hand drawn hearts are brought forth through deliberate and tight embroideries. Swarovski crystals shine and radiate. Masculine suiting details can be found in the lapels, waistlines, and intentional seams form strong silhouettes that celebrate the feminine form.
The Color Palette is rich and real with True Orange, Sangria, Bold Pinks, Persimmon, Black and White. All artwork and drawings were created by Liberatore.
